What an interesting process this is! Learning this little baby is quite an adventure. Between all the feedings and naps, there are these cool times when Link is actually awake. Sometimes his eyes are open so wide and he is just alert and staring. (Totally love those eyes!) Other times he is in and out of sleep or fussiness and we try different things to calm him down. Thank God that he likes to be swaddled and responds to the shhhshhing thing! It's such a strange feeling to want so much to help him be calm and happy and sometimes not know how to do it. As our friend Joy has said, so the journey of living with your heart outside your body begins!
Right now I am super grateful that B's parents are here to help us around the housenand to hold Link. After 45 minute feedings eight times a day, I am okay with other people snuggling with him for awhile. And, knowing that soon enough it will be just B and me here at the house, I am glad that he is getting loved on by people other than us!

What a special bonding time this is for all of you. Enjoy the remainder of the first visit from Grandma & Grandpa Miller. Wow, "Grandpa Miller" used to be MY Grandpa ... now my BROTHER is Grandpa Miller - how strange and wonderful! Does Clark wear a cardigan and feed peanuts to the squirrels? I think those are requirements.
I love Joy's philosophy!
Link will ALWAYS be surrounded by love coming from all different sources!
